The year 1979 marks the beginning of the company's activity, with the return to Portugal of its founders Paulo Ferraz and wife Elisabeth, from Switzerland. With his curriculum in dairy engineering at École de Grangeneuve and his already extensive experience in the agri-food sector, he decided to set up the first pre-cooked food industry in Portugal together with a friend.
Combining the wisdom and intelligence of customers and consumers, on one hand, with the blossoming of food distribution chains, on the other, Ferraz & Ferreira contributed to the implementation of a new concept of food and a new lifestyle.
From an early age, Ferraz & Ferreira believed in exporting, and as it couldn't be otherwise, Switzerland was the first country to which Ferraz & Ferreira exported in 1985. Today, our major focus is on export worldwide.
